OVERVIEW:

In October of 2015 I received a phone call from Tammy Lynn Wilkinson, the owner and artistic director of Theatre Du Jour – an up and coming company based an hour away in Oswego. Someone had told her about my prior production of Reindeer, and she generously asked if I’d direct it for her once more.

With Trump coming to prominence and Cosby’s trial ongoing, I knew it was the perfect time to dabble with The Eight again. Within a week or so, the show was fully cast – comprised of Syracuse veterans, and two newcomers from Oswego. With only three weeks to generate the show, our process was quick and dirty – both intensive and hard-won. But between the creative prowesses of Tammy, myself, and the cast, the show was received with reverence, garnering seven Syracuse Area Live Theatre award nominations.
